Abstract: This study aspiredto find out status of non-timber forest products (NTFPs)and utilized them bylocal people in wildlife sanctuary and national conservation forest. The study performedin3 villages of Thung Luiy Laiy Sub-district, Con San District, Chai Ya Phum Province, Thailand. Four different socialclasseswere compared to understandon utilized NTFPsof 106 sampling households. Quantitative,qualitative and analyzed informationwere collectedby the use ofquestionnaires, groupdiscussion, householdsurvey,fieldobservationand keyinformants interviewinthe study area.This research found that a landless group and a small farmers groupusedNTFPsintensitydue to less of opportunity to earn cash income.As well as, some medium farmers who have started doing rubber fields and not have harvestedrubber latex yet,andtheyneed to use forest products to feed family members. However, large farmers have independenceon NTFPs because they have many activitieson their fields, and have more chance to make their income.There are 22 types of NTFPs which found that villagers used and collected in the forest 16 types ofthem are edible species,medicinal plants and other species are used for basic needs in household. The main NTFPs have been harvested are bamboo shoots, edible mushrooms and fishthat there were collected them in almosthouseholdsparticularly people who are landless.On the other hand, because of degradationof national forestin Thailand, the government hasto establish national conservationforest and wildlife sanctuary for maintaining forest areaand protected wildlife. That led to unsatisfied of local people becausethere are many rules and regulations that local have to follow. This is including ofconservation and management of forest agenciesless on decisionmaking of local people participation.Then it led to rules and regulations were broken many times.Therefore,this study suggeststhatempowermenttolocal people by setting up community fo
