Abstract: This paper overview the impacts of livelihoods to rural poor women through the livestock and income generating activities of the Community Development for Remote Townships Project (CDRT), UNDP Myanmar. The paper mainly focuses on income, networking, participation and decision making of rural poor women to evaluate the changes of rural women’s life in the contexts of project livelihood activities. It provides the background of project and the project’s activities effect to the gender as well as the profiles of study area. Moreover, the observed and analyzed data distinctly indicate the important role of rural poor women in the three conceptual frameworks. The necessary recommendations are given to the project staff, beneficiaries and state and township governments in addition of some major policy recommendations to national government level to clearly set the rules and laws on women’s development in all the level of country and to establish well more gender related activities in each level.
