Abstract: A phrase “Climate change†is one of the priority issues at national and international level and also every nation around the world have been paying attention on it because climate change is an increasingly significant global challenge. Long – term and short – term impacts of climate change affects severely in Agriculture sector of Southeast Asia and least developing countries, especially. Myanmar was being encounte red the effects of climate change and the altered climatic condition since a few decades according to the results of the temporal and spatial analysis of Myanmar climatic data and rice is one of important crops which will be huge impact because of climate change especially rice industry in Myanmar . This study will 1) assess the farmers’ experiences on climatic changes and their perception on it and its impacts on the rice production , 2) find the impacts of these climatic changes on rice production , 3) explore the current adaptation measures practiced against its impacts in the grassroots community and 4) suggest better strategies and technological solution for adaptation . The data were collected in both rainfed and irrigated areas in Hinthada District and analyz ed through qualitative and quantitative methods (descriptive statistics, timeline, correlation, t – test, F – test, chi – square test and logistic regression). The results can be found that erratic monsoon period with unpredictability rainfall is the most percei ved change by the farmers. Almost all of the farmers from both rainfed and irrigated area are aware of global climate change and climatic changes in Myanmar though radio broadcasting news. The farmers felt sadness and afraid to the historical climatic haza rds and they think these climatic changes will continue to happen. Erratic rainfall in the early monsoon affects mature seedlings,
