Abstract: Mobile Development Unit and Dan Chum Pol Sub District are responded by applying a participatory approach in a village water supply project under Armed Forced Development Command Project to improve living conditions of rural people. The research was about people’s participation in the village water supply project in Dan Chum Pol Sub District, T rat province in the eastern of Thailand. The main objective of the research were to examine availability and accessibility of the village water supply system project assess the benefit and satisfaction of villagers on the village water supply system project identify degree of influencing of factor on people’s participation in the village water supply and identify problems, and potentials and give recommendation to improve people’s participation in village water supply and suggestion for future design. The scope of people’s participation in this study covered development stages of decision-making, implementation, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and operation and maintenance (O&M) stages. The intensity of participation and benefit gained were assessed from activities launched by the project. Degree of influence on intensity of participation were examined in demographic, economic and social and institutional aspects. The research was conducted in two groups of participating households and non- participating households of the village water supply system project in Dan Chum Pol Sub District where the pipe water system was carried out since 2014. The research was a quantitative with a survey design applying a standard questionnaire for those who participated in the village water supply project and those who did not participate in the project. Group discussion and interviews with stakeholders including staffs of mobile development unit, staffs of Dan Chum Pol Sub District Administration Organization, commune of people’s committee, village water committee, and were also conducted Main finding of this research showed that people participated in the village
