PATHUMTHANI, THAILAND – The Faculty of Public Policy and Sustainable Development (FPSD) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has officially announced the launch of its Policy Dialogue 2026 series. Running under the inspiring banner, “Shaping Tomorrow, One Conversation at a Time,” this newly minted initiative is set to become a vital monthly gathering where big ideas directly meet real-world action.
The Policy Dialogue 2026 series is meticulously structured as a monthly hybrid event, offering flexible options for participants to join either online or onsite. Onsite sessions will be hosted at the Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium, located on the Asian Institute of Technology campus in Pathumthani, Thailand.
By launching this platform, AIT-FPSD seeks to gather an influential network of top experts, forward-thinking researchers, and passion-driven changemakers. Together, attendees and speakers will unpack the region’s most urgent sustainability and policy challenges. Moving far beyond standard, rigid academic lectures, these sessions are intentionally designed as dynamic, collaborative spaces that spark entirely fresh perspectives and co-create actionable, real-world solutions. The dialogues will confront a broad spectrum of critical regional issues, ranging directly from climate resilience to inclusive governance.
A Look at the Upcoming 2026 Schedule
The series features an extensive four-month lineup running from August through November 2026. Every session will take place on a Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, ensuring a consistent time for regional and international audiences to connect:

- Dialogue Title: “ASEAN Collaboration: Policy Responses Amidst Global Uncertainty”
- Focus: Analyzing how collaborative efforts across ASEAN can adapt to shifting global uncertainties.
- 16 September 2026 | Theme: URBAN DEVELOPMENT
- Dialogue Title: “The Politics and Policy of Urban Development in Southeast Asia”
- Focus: Uncovering the complex political frameworks and policies shaping modern urban landscapes.
- 21 October 2026 | Theme: SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT
- Dialogue Title: “Women, Peace, and Security in ASEAN”
- Focus: Evaluating critical pathways for elevating women’s roles in regional security and peace initiatives.
- 18 November 2026 | Theme: REFUGEE AND MIGRATION
- Dialogue Title: “Women Refugees in South and Southeast Asia”
- Focus: Addressing policy directions and protection strategies for displaced women across South and Southeast Asian borders.
