Abstract: This research examines how undocumented Burmese migrant workers in informal work a re accessing the maternal health care and services in Talad Thai, Klong Luang district of Pathumthani province of Thailand . The study was done and analyzed on the basis of research questions that are related with knowledge, availability, barriers and gender roles to access the maternal and reproductive health services by Burmese migrant workers in informal sector of work. On the basis of these research questions and research objectives, a set of conceptual framework was developed to see the gender dimension of migration of informal workers as migrant workers do not have easy access of reproductive health services. The findings have been gathered from the extensive interview questionnaire with undocumented Burmese migrant workers (male and female) u sing t h e approach o f qualitative research into the concerns of accessing the maternal health care and services . The findings of this study have show n that the Burmese migrant workers do not have enough access of maternal health services in Talad Thai. T heir maternal health experience on service accessibility is affected b y socioeconomic and service availability factors. Legal status of migrant workers, perception of husbands towards the maternal health problems of wi v e s , decisions making process ins ide household, level of knowledge on maternal health division of labour inside household, household wealth, earning, working hours, quality service, counseling services, availability of all services, gender friendly services language, distance for health centers of service from resident are some of key barriers that migrant workers are facing difficulties to access the services.
